🗑️ Trash Can

The Trash Can is one of the starting tools in Stardew Valley, given to the player at the beginning of the game. It is used to permanently delete unwanted items from the inventory. By default, items discarded in the Trash Can are lost without recovery, but upgrading the Trash Can allows players to reclaim a portion of an item’s value as gold.

⚒️ Uses

The Trash Can is primarily used to manage inventory by discarding items:

Deletes any unwanted item directly from the inventory
Starting Trash Can provides no return on discarded items
Upgraded versions return a percentage of the item’s value in gold
Remains usable even while Clint is upgrading it

🔼 Upgrades

The Trash Can can be upgraded at the Blacksmith by providing bars and paying gold. Each upgrade increases the percentage of the item’s value returned when trashing it.
