🧄 Oil of Garlic Buff

The Oil of Garlic Buff is a unique effect in Stardew Valley that repels weaker monsters when exploring dangerous areas. When active, low-level enemies will avoid the player, reducing combat encounters and making travel through the Mines, Skull Cavern, or Quarry Mine much safer. This buff is especially helpful when focusing on resource gathering instead of combat.

Like other buffs, Oil of Garlic does not stack with similar effects — consuming another replaces the current buff.
