🏠 Big Barn

The Big Barn is the first upgrade to the Barn in Stardew Valley. Purchased from Robin at the Carpenter’s Shop, it expands animal capacity and unlocks the ability to house goats in addition to cows. Like the Barn, it can be further upgraded to the Deluxe Barn for even more features and animals.

The Big Barn increases animal housing capacity and allows the player to raise goats.

Houses cows and goats (up to 8 animals).
Goats produce Goat Milk, which can be processed into Goat Cheese for high profit.
Animal products from goats and cows are required for Community Center bundles.

Pro Tip: Prioritize goats early after upgrading — Goat Cheese sells for significantly more than regular Cheese and is loved by some villagers.

Plan ahead with resources (wood and stone) so you can upgrade to the Deluxe Barn smoothly.
Keep a silo stocked with hay to support your growing herd.
Combine Goat products with artisan equipment for maximum profit.
