🪨 The Cave

The Cave is a small farm location in Stardew Valley found in the northwest corner of the player’s farm. Early in the game, Demetrius will visit and offer to set up the cave for either fruit bat spawning or mushroom production. Once chosen, the cave becomes a reliable daily source of items that can be used in cooking, bundles, and artisan goods. The decision is permanent for that save file, so players must weigh the benefits of each option carefully.

📍 Location

Located in the northwest corner of the farm, near the greenhouse.
Accessible from the start of the game, though initially empty.
Configured by Demetrius after the player earns 25,000g in total.

🔀 Options

Demetrius offers two possible setups for the cave:

Mushroom Cave — installs mushroom boxes that generate Common, Red, Purple, Morel, and Chanterelle mushrooms.
Fruit Bat Cave — bats will occasionally drop fruit such as Apples, Pomegranates, Cherries, Peaches, Oranges, and Spices.

Fruit Bat Cave provides tree fruits without planting or waiting for fruit trees to mature.
