๐ฅ Pickles
Pickles are an Artisan Good in Stardew Valley, produced by placing any vegetable into a Preserves Jar. The type of Pickles created depends on the vegetable used (for example, placing a Cauliflower produces Pickled Cauliflower).
Pickles take 2 in-game days to process. Their base selling price is calculated as 2× the vegetable’s base price + 50g.
๐ฆ Uses
- Sold for profit, especially valuable with high-priced vegetables.
- Gift: Neutral for most villagers, but liked by some.
- Not used in bundles.

๐ก Strategy
Pro Tip: Use high-value vegetables like Pumpkin or Cauliflower for maximum profit from Pickles.
- Pickles provide more value than selling raw vegetables, especially long-season crops.
- Avoid using cheap vegetables (like Parsnips) since the profit margin is small.
- Pair Preserves Jars with high-volume farming to maintain constant production.
- Pickles are less profitable than Wine or Juice but easier to manage due to shorter processing times.
