The Bookseller is a traveling vendor introduced in version 1.6 of Stardew Valley.
They appear in Pierre’s General Store plaza on the 15th and 16th of each season.
The Bookseller offers rare books that grant the player permanent bonuses or unlock new mechanics.
Unlike other traveling merchants, the Bookseller’s inventory focuses exclusively on books, many of which cannot be obtained elsewhere.
