๐ง Watering Can
The Watering Can is one of the starting tools in Stardew Valley, provided to the player at the beginning of the game. It’s used to water crops and refills from any water source—including the kitchen sink if your farmhouse is upgraded. Upgrading the Watering Can increases its water capacity and the number of tiles it waters in one charge.
๐ฑ Uses
The Watering Can is essential for crop care:
- Water crops outside and indoors (Greenhouse or Garden Pots)
- Refills at any body of water or upgraded kitchen sink
- Needed daily (unless it’s raining); required even in Winter for some cases
๐ผ Upgrades
The Watering Can can be upgraded at the Blacksmith by bringing bars and gold. Each upgrade increases both the water capacity and the area watered with a charged swing.
Upgrade | Bars Required | Cost | Capacity | Area Effect |
---|---|---|---|---|
Copper Watering Can | 5 Copper Bars | 2,000g | 55 charges | 3 tiles in a straight line |
Steel Watering Can | 5 Iron Bars | 5,000g | 70 charges | 5 tiles in a straight line |
Gold Watering Can | 5 Gold Bars | 10,000g | 85 charges | 3×3 square (9 tiles) |
