⚒️ Steel Pickaxe
The Steel Pickaxe is the second upgrade to the basic Pickaxe in Stardew Valley. It is obtained by bringing 5 Iron Bars and 10,000g to the Blacksmith. The Steel Pickaxe makes mining far more efficient and unlocks the ability to break large boulders on the farm and in the mines.

The Steel Pickaxe improves upon the Copper Pickaxe in several ways:
- Breaks large boulders that block paths on the farm
- Reduces swings needed for rocks and ore nodes
- Essential for progressing deeper in the mines
- Removes placed equipment and furnaces more efficiently
