🌾 Hay Hopper

The Hay Hopper is a unique tool in Stardew Valley that automatically dispenses Hay stored in Silos. It is provided for free with the purchase of the first Barn or Coop and cannot be crafted or bought separately. The Hay Hopper ensures animals have access to food during days when they cannot graze outside.

🐄 Uses

The Hay Hopper’s function is tied directly to Silos and animal buildings:

• Automatically dispenses stored Hay from Silos
• Feeds animals inside Barns and Coops
• Appears automatically when the first Silo and animal building are constructed
• Hay is pulled directly from Silos and placed in the Feeding Bench

📋 Details

Unlike other tools, the Hay Hopper cannot be picked up, moved, or stored in inventory. Its only purpose is to transfer Hay from Silos to feeding areas in animal buildings.

💡 Tips & Strategies

• Build Silos before animal barns or coops so Hay can be stored in advance
• Use the Scythe to cut grass; Hay will go into Silos and then be available via the Hopper
• Upgrade to Deluxe Barns/Coops for automatic Hay feeding
• Even after upgrades, the Hopper remains in the building but is rarely needed
