🎣 Fish Shop
The Fish Shop is located on the docks of Pelican Town’s beach and is operated by Willy. The shop provides essential fishing equipment, bait, and recipes, and also allows players to sell fish directly to Willy for gold.
The Fish Shop becomes accessible on the 2nd day of Spring, Year 1, when Willy mails the player a letter inviting them to visit.
🕒 Hours & Location
- Open: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Closed: Saturdays (when Willy goes fishing) and during festivals
- Location: Pelican Town Beach, on the docks

Willy’s inventory expands as players progress:
- Bamboo Pole — 500g (available immediately)
- Fiberglass Rod — 1,800g (unlocks with Fishing Level 2)
- Iridium Rod — 7,500g (unlocks with Fishing Level 6)
- Crab Pot — 1,500g
- Bait and Tackle — available with upgraded rods
- Trout Soup — 250g (provides temporary Fishing buff)
💡 Tips & Strategies
- Purchase the Fiberglass or Iridium Rod as soon as possible for bait and tackle use
- Selling fish directly to Willy saves time compared to shipping
- Stock up on Trout Soup early to boost Fishing skill
- Visit the shop before 5:00 PM since Willy often leaves early to fish
