๐Ÿ  Cabin

A Cabin is a farm building in Stardew Valley primarily used in Multiplayer mode. Built by Robin at the Carpenter’s Shop, each cabin provides living space for an additional player (farmhand) on the same farm. Up to three cabins can be constructed, allowing a total of four players on one farm.

๐Ÿ›  Construction

  • Build Cost: Free (when enabled in New Game options) or 100g
  • Materials: Varies by style (Wood, Stone, or Log)
  • Build Time: Instant
  • Builder: Robin (Carpenter’s Shop)

๐Ÿก Cabin Styles

There are three styles of cabins available. Each provides the same function but has a different appearance:

  • Wood Cabin: Built with 10 Wood, rustic wooden design.
  • Stone Cabin: Built with 10 Stone, sturdy stone walls.
  • Log Cabin: Built with 5 Wood, cozy log-cabin appearance.

๐Ÿ“‹ Uses

  • Provides housing and storage space for farmhands in multiplayer mode.
  • Cabin interiors function like a farmhouse, with a bed, decorations, and upgrade potential.
  • Allows additional players to participate fully in farming, mining, fishing, and all other activities.

๐Ÿ’ก Strategy

Pro Tip: If you’re planning multiplayer, set cabins to “Nearby” or “Separate” during farm creation to control their placement. They can also be demolished later by Robin if fewer players are needed.
  • Cabins can be placed for free when creating a new multiplayer farm — saving gold and materials early on.
  • Even in single-player mode, you can build cabins to expand decoration space or storage.
  • Interior upgrades to cabins work the same way as upgrading the main farmhouse.
