๐ŸŸ Aged Roe

Aged Roe is an Artisan Good in Stardew Valley, produced by placing any type of Roe into a Preserves Jar. It increases the value of the Roe and can be sold for a solid profit, with Sturgeon Roe being turned into Caviar instead.

Aged Roe takes 4,000 in-game minutes (about 2–3 days) to process in a Preserves Jar. The output color matches the fish species the Roe came from.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Uses

  • Sold for profit (value depends on the type of Roe used).
  • Gift: Neutral for most villagers.
  • Not used in bundles or recipes.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Selling Prices

The selling price of Aged Roe is calculated as: (2 × Roe Price) + 40g.

Roe Source Aged Roe Price
Salmon Roe 240g
Tuna Roe 280g
Super Cucumber Roe 320g
Lava Eel Roe 760g

๐Ÿ’ก Strategy

Pro Tip: The most profitable Aged Roe comes from rare or legendary fish like Lava Eel or Blobfish.
  • Always use Roe in Preserves Jars instead of selling it raw — Aged Roe is far more profitable.
  • Sturgeon Roe is the only exception, since it produces Caviar instead of Aged Roe.
  • Fish Ponds are the best way to ensure a renewable supply of Roe for artisan production.
  • Pair with the Artisan profession (+40% value) to maximize profits.
