๐Ÿ‰ Slime Hutch

The Slime Hutch is a special farm building in Stardew Valley that allows players to raise Slimes. Inside, players can hatch Slime Eggs or breed wild Slimes to create their own colony. Slimes will attack the player unless equipped with a Slime Charmer Ring. When fully stocked, a Slime Hutch can house up to 20 Slimes.

๐Ÿ›  Construction

๐Ÿ“ฆ Function

  • Houses up to 20 Slimes once filled with water troughs.
  • Requires daily water in the four slime troughs for Slimes to multiply.
  • Slimes may drop Slime Balls, which can be broken open for Slime, Coal, or rare items.
  • Slime Eggs can be created with a Slime Egg-Press and hatched inside.

๐Ÿ“‹ Uses

  • Provides a renewable source of Slime, useful for crafting and quests.
  • Chance to acquire rare items when breaking Slime Balls.
  • A unique alternative to traditional livestock, offering a “monster ranching” style.

๐Ÿ’ก Strategy

Pro Tip: Always wear the Slime Charmer Ring when entering the Hutch to avoid damage — it makes raising Slimes much safer.
  • Focus on breeding rare Slimes by hatching different colored Slime Eggs.
  • Water all troughs daily to maximize slime breeding rates.
  • Use fences inside to help manage slime movement if you want safer navigation.
