🍄 Mushroom Tree

The Mushroom Tree is a rare type of tree in Stardew Valley. During the last week of Fall, there is a chance for a fully grown, untapped tree on the farm to transform into a Mushroom Tree. Once matured, Mushroom Trees can be chopped down for Wood and Red Mushrooms, or tapped to produce Common, Red, or Purple Mushrooms.

⏱ Growth & Behavior

• Spawn Chance: Randomly appears during the last week of Fall
• Growth: Can spread by dropping Mushroom Tree Seeds (looks like small stumps)
• Seasons: Stays year-round but becomes a stump in Winter (unless on Ginger Island)
• Regrowth: Stumps can regrow into full Mushroom Trees in Spring

📦 Acquisition

• Random chance for trees to transform during Fall 25–28
• Can spread naturally from existing Mushroom Trees
• Mushroom Tree Stumps regrow into full trees in Spring

📦 Uses

• Chopping yields Wood and Red Mushrooms
• Tapping produces Common, Red, or Purple Mushrooms every few days
• Mushrooms are used in cooking, crafting, and bundles
• Purple Mushrooms are valuable for energy and gifting

💡 Strategy

• Leave Mushroom Tree Stumps over Winter — they’ll regrow in Spring.
• Tappers provide better long-term profit than chopping.
• Purple Mushrooms are rare and highly profitable, making tapped Mushroom Trees valuable.
