๐ŸŽฌ Movie Theater

The Movie Theater is a special building in Pelican Town in Stardew Valley. It allows the player to watch movies with villagers and build friendship by inviting them to screenings. The Movie Theater replaces the JojaMart building if the Community Center is completed, or replaces the Community Center itself if the Joja route is chosen and later funded. It adds late-game social gameplay and a new way to interact with townsfolk.

  • Becomes available after completing the Community Center bundles (or purchasing Joja upgrades, then buying the Movie Theater project).

  • Players can buy tickets for themselves and one villager per week.
  • Children cannot be invited.

๐Ÿ’ก Strategy

Pro Tip: Check each villager’s favorite movies and snacks — maximizing enjoyment grants higher friendship boosts.
  • Plan movie trips with villagers you’re focusing on for friendship or marriage.
  • Stock up on concession items that align with specific villagers’ preferences.
  • Use movies as an easy way to build friendship with hard-to-find villagers.
  • Even going alone can be fun — but the real benefit comes from inviting others.
