🪓 Large Stump

A Large Stump is an obstacle in Stardew Valley that blocks areas on the farm and in the world. It requires a Copper Axe or better to break. When chopped, a Large Stump yields valuable Hardwood, a crafting material used for upgrades and advanced recipes.

• Tool Required: Copper Axe or better
• Resources Yielded: 2 Hardwood per stump
• Respawn: Respawns daily in the Secret Woods

📍 Locations

• Several spawn on the player’s farm at the start of the game
• A renewable source exists in the Secret Woods (6 Large Stumps regenerate daily)
• Occasionally found around the Forest map

📦 Uses

• Breaking Large Stumps yields Hardwood
• Hardwood is used for crafting (e.g., Stable, Oil Maker, Hardwood Fence)
• Required in Community Center bundles (Construction Bundle)

💡 Strategy

• Visit the Secret Woods daily for a renewable Hardwood supply.
• Clear the farm’s stumps to free up building space.
• Stockpile Hardwood early since it’s required for important structures like the Stable.
